This bachelor thesis examines support strategies in the education of pupils with Italian as their mother tongue. It deals with methods for successful, integration, factors influencing the mastery of the curriculum and cooperating between teachers and parents. The research method was chosen as a qualitative method, carried out in the form of an online "semi-structured" interview with six Czech teachers and special pedagogues working in Italian- Czech classes at the elementary school J. G. Jarkovského, Truhlářská 22. It was found that for the successful education of pupils with Italian as their mother tongue, the key is the readiness and cooperation of the whole pedagogical team, support of teachers from school management, functional cooperation with school counseling facilities and the possibility of using a teaching assistant. Successful integration mainly affects the pupil's personality, the classroom and the family. The teacher should establish a positive relationship with the pupil and with the pupil's family, prepare the class for the arrival of a new classmate, and provide the pupil with a guide and a mentor from among the pupils.

BAŽANTOVÁ, Eva
The number of foreigners moving to the Czech Republic has been raising in the past decade. Education of foreigners' children at lower secondary school is inevitable, because this level is obligatory for children aged six to fifteen, or eighteen in some cases. The aim of this thesis is to focus on education of foreign children at lower secondary level and to survey educational material provided by organizations. These materials should be helpful when integrating foreigners or teaching about migration. The practical part is a case study in which there is everything about how the particular school works with foreigners. The approach of teachers to these children is also illustrated there. The thesis reveals whether the teachers are ready for teaching foreign children who speak different mother tongue; it also evaluates the contribution of the school to integrating the children to the society.
